In 2018, South32 commissioned Tushiyah Advisory Services to operate an ESD Business Support Center for local SMME’s in Kuruman, Northern Cape. The Kuruman Business Centre portrays great growth potential with the presence of the various mines in the district, there are endless business opportunities.
The Business Centre has afforded most of the businesses an opportunity to work in a conducive business environment that not only presented them with access to free internet and printing services but also access to business advisory services as and when needed. This has always been the unique service offering of the business centre. Strong community relationships were built and managed accordingly.
Tushiyah Advisory Services have managed to establish a steering committee that comprises of three local municipalities including a district municipality LED office. The relationships had many challenges as lots of expectations had to be managed from the municipalities’ sides mostly. However, that was managed with the intention of better integrated local economic development plans and initiatives.
